That efficiency is the business: it is exactly why the whole engine runs on one small machine. The mathematics is solved, not guessed, so the engine brings order to chaos instead of approximating it. It is built by Kgomotso Lekola and the Institute for Decision Systems & Number Theory, the same person who holds 39 registered IP protections and twice built nationally-recognised industrial companies, so the engine ships and the company knows how to sell it. On the GIMPS PrimeNet leaderboard, 250 000 contributors, refereed by mersenne.org, the founder (member KgomotsoLekola) climbed 130 places in a single day, more than double the next-fastest mover, on just 316.8 GHz-days, where the board's biggest movers run thousands. That is among the most rank gained per unit of compute on the board, and still rising.
